Suggest Treatment For Sore Eye After Injury
Hi, my friend just accidentally hit me in the eye with her hand. It immediately felt pretty sore around the whole eye, and we soon noticed there was a little blood coming out of the corner. My eyeball itself looks fine, but there was some blood attached to that stringy stuff under my eyelids. It s been ~20 minutes since I cleaned that stuff out, and no more blood has come out of my eye, but I just noticed I had some blood in my spit. Should I go to the hospital?

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. this is the common form of presentation after such kind of injury and in most of the cases it is not harmful. you can do few things by your own blood in spit may be a minimal injury in nose or mouth, please see into the mirror with the help of torch, see all area. if you can see any injury you can make out how much attention it need and if bleeding is stopped from that site then no worry. if it is not in mouth then in may be in mid part of nose if you feel any liquid in back part of nose you need just some gargles with water only. if it is flowing from front then pinch your nose with thumb and index finger for 10 min and breath from mouth for that time. if it stops then no need to worry. there is no need to go for hospital. if bleeding is not stopping, if you vomit, if you feel some dizzy, if some bleeding is there in eyes then you need to go to hospital as early as possible.
