Suggest Treatment For Sore Lip And Tongue After Smoking Meth ?

I smoke meth my first time for 3 days and now I have a sore on my lip and a few on my tongue can this be an allergy or just canker sores or some type of symptom ppl get from smoking it and through the three days I didn't stay well hydrated and had really dry mouth and lips and only brushed my teeth once so I'm thinking it just made a bacteria or allergic reaction my mouth didn't like.. If it's not any of these I wouldn't really understand I haven't been sexually active for a long time.. So what I'm wondering can u get sores from smoking with I prolly smoked maybe 0.6 grams between me and a buddy and we both had are own pipes

Hello,

I can understand your concern. The sore or ulcer that you have developed seems to be due to smoking meth only. As it was your first time smoking meth, it is a way of your body to reject the substance that is not acceptable and harmful to your health.

As you have developed multiple ulcers, they seem to be of allergic origin. As you know now that you are allergic to meth, you need to avoid the substance to prevent such and more severe reactions in future.

You can take antihistamine such as Levocetrizine 5 mg (Levocet) or Loratidine 10 mg (Lorfast) once a day for 7-10 days. In addition, you can apply local Benzocaine gel (Mucopain) over the sores 3-4 times a day, especially before meals to make intake of food easier. You should also start taking vitamin B supplements (B-Folcin) once a day for 15 days to make the sores heal faster. Usually, the ulcers take 7 days to completely heal. Try to stay hydrated and maintain oral hygiene.

If the sores do not heal in 7 days, then you should consult a dentist for examination of the sores and further investigations and treatment.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. I wish you recover soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
