Suggest Treatment For Sore On Face During Pregnancy
Hi. I am about 20 weeks pregnant. I have a sore developing on the left side of my face, about an inch away from my hairline/ ear. It is tender to touch and my whole jaw/ gland is also tender to the touch. Someone mentioned it could be a cold sore, could it be? Even if it isn't on a mucus membrane like ear, mouth, nose etc..
As per your query you have tender sore on face and your are 20 weeks pregnant . The probable reason for sore on your face is acne , which is very common problem in pregnancy due to hormonal changes during this stage and home remedies a best in pregnancy . I would suggest you to apply over the counter lotions and creams that contain benzoyl peroxide are typically considered safe. Also you can apply raw honey at night . If condition doesn't improve or get worse in 2-3 days then consult dermatologist for proper checkup and rule out condition like cyst or viral infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like doxycycline, minocycline, tetracycline and Accutane .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
