Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Acid Reflux

how can you tell the different between a sore throat from acid reflux and a sore throat from sinus drainage. My throat is sore, (dry, scratcy and burning), but I have been burping alot and have know acid reflux, but my ears are also hurting. Not sure which way to treat. I take prescription prilosec and my stomach feels fine. I did have a bad sinus infection a month ago and have been taking flonase once a day. Advice?

hello, thanks for your query, there are two things can cause sore throat- post nasal drip from sinusitis, acid reflux from severe acidity. u need to manage by- reduce wt, stop smoking, alcohol, small 6 meals instead of large3 , keep meal and sleeping interval should be 3 hours.kepp slightly elevated head posture during sleep.take pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily before food for 2 weeks. for sinusitis- steam inhalation, antibiotic course, mucolytic- Ambcet once daily at bed time.kindly visit an ent surgeon for suitable antibiotic. all the best. take care.
