Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Burning Sensation In The Throat

Hi I have had a sore throat for over a year everytime i eat it burns and I often have burning sensation all day, and a sore on the inside of my right cheek that won t go away.. I have had gastroscopy, endoscopy, MRI and the ent doc looked through my nose down my throat...it was clear a year ago but symptoms still present... Jude

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms the problem of sore throat and burning sensation in throat on eating and at times all day is due to Acid reflux, in which there is reflux of stomach acid from stomach to throat and mouth and causes irritation of throat and the food pipe and causes burning sensation..

Nothing to worry,get a latest endoscopy done for re-confirmation..

For sore throat do warm saline gargles.
As of now you can take Pantprazole 40 mg twice a day, once in morning empty stomach and once in the evening..
Take antacid like digene or others available with your local pharmacist half an hour before meals..
Avoid spicy and acidic foods.
Drink plenty of water as it helps in diluting the acid.
Take more of Probiotics like Yoghurt.
While sleeping keep your head slightly raised as compared to legs.
Always take a short walk after meals..
