Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Chest Infection

For the past 3 days I have lost my voice completely. It doesn't hurt other then my swallowing muscles are sore from coughing. In the morning I have been coughing up large amounts for brown phlegm, and yellow-green through out the day. The amount of 'talking' I do doesn't appear to affect my lack of voice.

Hi thanks for contacting health care magic.

According to your complaints you have cough , congestion and thick phlegm with loss of voice.
You have respiratory infection like bronchitis or sore throat along with larynx affection .So loss of voice.

For your condition consult ENT surgeon.
He will examine your all cervical lymph nodes and will do indirect laryngoscopy to look for larynx with auscultation for respi examination.

You will given antibiotic like levoflixacin or cephalospirin group.
For thick cough expectorant like ambroxol given....
Drink more water...esp.hot water that help in cough expulsion.
Steam inhalation useful....
Avoid excess spicy and fried food that aggravate phlegm.

If needed sputum examination and culture done.

Take care.
