Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Cold

Hey my name is Royce. Yesterday I had a sore throat when I woke up and it was really cold. Later in the day around 6pm I got muscle cramps in my middle back area which went away later that night but I also got a fever. I got the shivers even though it was warm and I put on a sweater and pants and socks. Everything I ate or drank I pretty much regirgitated but I did not really puke that much. Today I took antacid tablets, had hot tea, oatmeal, yogurt, and peas and I am able to pretty much keep it down but I have also been constipated. I barely am able to make a bowel movement and when I do sometimes there is a tiny amount of blood and when I wipe there is sometimes a tiny amount of blood but there is also a clear mucus looking liquid discharging as well. I am not really feeling any pain but my left side, which I am guessing is my stomach, left of the belly button about 5 inches to be more precise is a little uncomfortable. I have also felt kind of fatigued all day as well.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

The symptoms of sore throat, muscle cramps and fever suggest viral infection.
Viral infections are self limiting and tale 7-10 days to resolve.
Symptomatic treatment has to be given for fever, sore throat and muscle cramps.
Paracetamol is good enough for fever, saline gargles and antibiotic for sore throat and a NSAID for body aches and muscle cramps.
You can consult your primary healthcare provider for the prescription of medication.

Presence of blood and mucus in stools suggests dysentery.
A stool examination- routine and microscopy is required to look for infectious agent in the stools.
Dysentery is most commonly caused by infectious bacteria.

Thanks and take care
