Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Cough With Runny Nose

I had cold in the last week of February. I took medicines and it subsided. Again after 2 weeks I had sore throat,running nose and cough. I went to a doctor and he prescribed antibiotics. Now I do not have any cold symptoms except dry cough. I hardly get any phlegm outside. The dry cough not fully subsided. It is on for one week and off for next week. Now again I have dry cough. I checked in online journals and I am afraid I might have something like TB. But I do not get any phlegm. I am very scared. Is it normal dry cough or something serious like TB. Please help me...

Hi dear. I am your physician, have gone through your case very carefully and I have vast experience in such cases as yours. In my expert opinion its not TB. but you never know until its tested in the lab and on X-Ray exam. But your symptoms are not consistent with TB.
Its chronic pharyngitis with sinusitis. You may Take azithromycin antibiotics and antiallergy pills like fexofenadine. Gargle 3,4 times a days with some good mouth wash gargles solution or simply adding some salt to warm water and gargle with that.
You should keep yourself away from some allergen which is perhaps making continuous irritation in throat and cough. Also consult ENT to have your throat exam done.
