Hello,

Since you are suffering from sore throat and dizziness, you are suggested to gargle with warm salt water thrice daily. Take warm beverages & give rest to voice, do not talk. You can take liquid food or semi solid food. You should get swab & sputum test done. Get clinically examined by an ENT, if you have strep throat, you will be accordingly treated with a course of oral antibiotics like Amoxycillin. Take lozenges to keep your throat from getting irritated. Take Acetaminophen, one SOS when needed.

Dizziness is commonly caused by dehydration, low BP, low blood glucose, inner ear issue, vertigo, etc. Get your vitals normal, stay well hydrated. Take ORS, soups, juice, etc. You can take home made balanced diet so that your BP & blood glucose is well maintained. Get your ear examined by an ENT. If vertigo is detected, it will be treated accordingly. Since you are having dizziness, do not do any heavy work, do not drive. Stay at rest. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
