Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Ear Ache

I had a fever of 101 for three days with sore throat and ears popping. Just completed a 3-day zpack. Fever seems gone but throat still very sore and chest (not throat)burns if I swallow food. Energy still gone and ears still popping. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having acute pharyngitis and secondary Eustachian tube inflammation and earache from that...

You have completed antibiotic course

Take benadryl like decongestant drug to relieve inflammation

Avoid excess spicy foods

Drink more water.. Hot warm water will be beneficial

Take vitamin C lozenges that are having viricidal effect

Steam inhalation with added one drop eucalyptus oil in hot water will be beneficial

Avoid smoking

Take care

Consult physician for examination esp Auscultation
