20 year old son neg strep test yesterday at walk in clinic. 103 fever - now controlled with OTC meds. Vomited once yesterday and once today. Sore throat and fever began 3 days ago. White patches in throat now turning gray/black. Basically no food intake (2 bites of soup and 2 bites of pudding yesterday) in three days. Doing his best to sip water. Is gargling with salt water very regularly. Going to see primary care physician on Monday if he survives tomorrow. Why are white patches turning dark? I ve not seen that before.
