Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Mild Fever

I had a bad sore throat for 5days now and mild fever. My doctor prescribed paracetamol 650 mg, Noflux 90mg 3 times daily and Curam 625mg twice daily. I had been taking the medicines except the Curam . I heard of the side effects of antibiotics and I was hoping to get better with plenty of rest and water, and avoid the antibiotics. What is your opinion?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If your doctor prescribed curam 625 mg, I think he might have noticed bacterial tonsillitis (bacterial throat infection).

If you do not agree, it's ok try for a few days to take plenty of rest and fluids. If no improvement, should take Curam.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
