Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And White Spots On The Tonsil

hello, i have a sore throat with white spots in the tonsil area and what appears to be a few layers of skin missing there too. also red sore swolen glands. i was wondering what this could be as i cant get a doctors appointment until next week and i need to do something about this asap seeing as i cant even swallow water without it hurting...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms white spots on tonsils are pus pockets secondary to infection along with red swollen glands is indicative of throat infection which can be bacterial or viral in nature as well as swollen glands are due to inflamed tonsils known as TONSILLITIS..
Many a times there is a viral infection along with secondary bacterial infection..
Nothing to worry, you can take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin for 5 days.
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Do warm saline gargles.
Steam inhalations and using a cool mist humidifier in your room will relieve..
Sip on luke warm water throughout the day as it will help in faster relief..
Avoid spicy, hard and chilled foods..
