Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Dizziness And Fever In A Child
Hi, my 9 year old has been feeling dizzy since last night. She also complained of a sore throat & has now got a temperature of 40 degrees, but feeling cold. Can you suggest what I should do for her? She s had panadol for her fever, difflam throat spray for sore throat, lots of water & a cold flannel on her head. What else can I do to make her comfortable. She s very scared of how she feels. She s normally not a sick child. Thanks
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of sore throat, dizziness and fever which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and due to poor immunity of body as well.
Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles and avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get throat swab test and blood tests and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take proper course of antibiotics. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Harry Maheshwari
