Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Fever, Tiredness, Earache And Cough

I m currently on the seventh day of antibiotics for an ear and sinus infection, with three days left to go...this is my second round of antibiotics for this infection. I was also treated with an anti-viral for blisters in my throat at the beginning of the second round of antibiotics. My symptoms, sore throat, no voice, fever, tired, earache, cough, etc, are all back with a vengeance. Should I go back to the doctor now, or wait until I finish this round of antibiotics?

Hi,

Noted your taking antibiotic and anti-viral for so many days but the symptoms of sore throat, loss of voice, fever, coughing, tiredness and ear ache are back.
The causes can be as follows:
Antibiotic not working as expected needing to change over to another antibiotic.
- Viral infection can take a lot of time as there are other factors like atmospheric changes, foods, beverages, local conditions in the room, society undergoing mass viral infection and so on can cause these.
- Also get clinical opinion of an ENT Surgeon, further investigations as needed and additional prescription based treatment.
- May need anti-inflammatory medicines for reducing oedema, increase reach of medicines in the inflamed area.
- Take rest and avoid contact with general public at large.
