Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Swollen Glands And Atypical Pneumonia
Hi - my 30 yr old daughter can t kick a periodic fever with throat problems - inflammation, now it s sore and glands are swollen. Dr. took chest xray, decided it was walking pnemonia, has prescribed 3 antibiotics, now she s feeling worse...one & off. Family Dr is sending her to a Infectious Specialist, but she can t get in for a month....any ideas? Know anything about Black Elderberry Syrup or what ever to boost her immune system?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Diet rich in proteins, fresh fruits and vegetables, vitamin supplements help to boost immunity. The current episode of pneumonia has to be managed by antibiotics only. If the pneumonia has not responded to antibiotics, it is possible that some resistant strain has caused the infection. Drug sensitivity has to be done to select the most susceptible antibiotic which will be effective against the causative strain. Consult your infectious disease specialist for further work up.
