Suggest Treatment For Soreness And Pain In Toes

over a week ago I was walking barefoot most of the day and my feet got very sore. The pain hasn t gotten better and is actually worse. Not only do the bottoms of me feet still hurt but my toes hurt and get shooting pains, even my skin hurts just to touch it similar to when I have sunburn.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the soreness and pain in toes indicate most likely fungal infection after walking barefoot. My guidelines at present:
- Keep the toes and leg clean with antiseptic liquid
- Do not walk barefoot
- Use soft slippers or sandals
- Avoid tight shoes
- Tablet ibuprofen (400 mg) 3 times a day after meals preferably with antacid
- Choice of any antibiotic or anti-fungal medicine would be decision of treating physician or dermatologist
- Control of blood sugar

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
