Suggest Treatment For Soreness And Swelling After Cut In Finger

I cut my finger pretty deeply, way back in November, and it seemed to have healed normally. But today, ( literally, minutes ago ) I noticed a soreness, and a slight swollenness at the tip, and a reddish line going up the middle, inthe area of where I had cut it--all those months ago! Could it, possibly, be infected, after all this time?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of cut in finger, my treatment advice is -
1. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
2. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
3. Take an oral antibiotic like levofloxacin 250mg twice daily for 5 days.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
