Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The gum area on my top left back area is a little sore this time every year. Sometimes the pain gets pretty bad. However sometime if I simply leave it alone it goes away. It's been happening for about 4 years now. The first year when I first noticed I think I irritated it by messing with it with pressure bc the poison was almost unbearable.
Understanding your concern. As per your query soreness in gum area in left upper back region is because of inflammation of gums due to a condition called Peritonitis as it happens to you every time the cusp comes out of gingival tissue. I would suggest you not to panic about it. Take a combination of antibiotic and painkiller, go for Ibuprofen and Diclofenac combination. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take antiseptic mouth wash such as Listerine. Don't touch that area with any object as it can leads to infection there. Visit periodontist once and go for scaling and root cleaning ion particular quadrant. Your symptoms will resolve soon. Do warm saline gargles as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
