Suggest Treatment For Soreness In The Ankle Post Running

Hi, I m am on a track and field team and every time I am running, jumping, or putting to much weight on my ankle it is sending sharp shooting pains up my foot. It is often the ankle, and the side bone on my right foot. Do you possibly know what it is and how to treat it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have to rule out tendon injury or some minor bone fracture for your symptoms. I suggest you investigate with X-ray of ankle joint for further work up. According to x report I can guide you further.

Meanwhile you can take anti inflammatory drug for five days. Hot compress can be beneficial.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
