I am 71 years old and for the past 4 days have been knitting constantly to finish a Christmas present for my grand daughter. My right hand, wrist is very sore, particularly the area between the thumb and index finger. It started hurting a lot two nights ago. I tried stretching and moving it, but that didn t seem to help, and may have made it more painful. Last night it hurt again, I noticed that applying slight pressure and not bending my wrist there was less pain. Today I put an elastic wrap on my wrist and upper hand and I m feeling much better. Do you think I could have a sprained wrist, or maybe just arthritis. I ve never had arthritis pain before, and I have knitted all my life. There was also numbness in my thumb, index and middle fingers, but that too is subsiding. No other symptoms at all. What do you think?
