I am taking Glycopyrrolate and I know that dry mouth is aside effect but my tongue is so sore and everything I try to eat burns my tongue and my lips are chapped, and drinking fluids does not seem to help. Is there anything that I can do to help with this?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you are having Glycopyrrolate for gastric diseases for acid formation in stomach which is giving you side effects of dry mouth, chapped lips, sore tongue which is avery common adverse effect if this drug not suiting you properly.

I would suggest you to take this drug 1-2 hr in the morning before breakfast to prevent side effects. You can visit your general practitioner as well to get a dosage lower than your present one or any alternative ant acid medication.

Take bicosule capsule daily for 15 days it will resolve all your mouth symptoms. Apply dologel on sore areas. Rinse with antimicrobial mouthwash.

Avoid spicy food. Topical corticosteroid such as triamicyclone is also the best remedy for soreness.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes,
