Suggest Treatment For Soreness On Buttocks After Injury

I fell from my ladder missing the bottom step. I fell hard on my buttock also hitting my head which is ok. there was nothing broken, but I am sore after 3 weeks. I can walk and bend without much pain. How long does that soreness last. I take pain pills when needed. I did not have a xray because my doctor assured me there was nothing broken. Thank you so much

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The soreness on buttocks following injury may be indicative of hematoma changes involving the subcutaneous space. Guidelines for better recovery:
- Local application of ice
- Prescription of antibiotics such as Cephalosporins, anti-inflammatory medicines such as Diclofenac, proteolytic enzymes as Serratiopeptidase
- Avoid extensive pressure bearing

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
