General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Tension headache or migraine which is the most common cause of headache with scalp tenderness.
I sugegst using an anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain.
I also suggest using a steroid cream for local application at the scalp area.
If the symptoms continue, you should see a neurologist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
