Suggest Treatment For Spasms In Uvula

I have had this clicking in my head for many years, No one believed me & no dr would take the time to listen, they referred me to psych. Yesterday my pain specialist finally discovered that my UVULA is severely spasming and making this loud clicking noise. He referred me to and ENT. What options do I have?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your question and description is albeit short and specific.
The spasm of uvula giving the clicking sound is not herd of till now; yet us us believe in what you say. ENT Examination can help to know the exact thing.
If there is spasm of uvula then you may need to be evaluated for any neurological cause by tests for cranial nerves, MRI of the brain and for cranial nerves.
If this is actually present then uvula can be treated by Botox injection. Or an excision can be done if required.
If all the investigations are normal then consult a Psychiatrist for proper evaluation, who known his treatment can help all your symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
