Suggest Treatment For Speckles On Chest And Upper Arms

my 14 year old son is getting small, red, speckles scattered all over his chest and somewhat on his upper arms. It just came up this afternoon. They don t seem to itch or hurt. He was in Lake Ontario for a brief moment, which is the only unusual thing I can think of. It seemed to ease up a little after a bath with salts, but seems to be not going away. Any ideas?

Hi,

As per your query you have speckles on chest and upper arms which seems to be due to environmental factors as well as due to contact dermatitis.I would suggest you to:
- Apply cold compresses several times a day.
- Avoid itching and pricking these speckles.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Apply over the counter antibiotics ointment.
- Avoid synthetic clothes.
If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination and start treatment accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
