Suggest Treatment For Spider Bite In The Genital Area
Hello, Sorry for a weird question. Short version, I thought I was bitten by a spider last week on my private. I thought Triple antibiotic would fix the problem, I woke up the next day with redness and some pain. I currently still have some pain and what looks to be white powder around the area.
You have been bitten by a spider and now you are experiencing inflammation and pain. Clean the area affected by spider bite with soap and water, pat it dry. Apply ointment bacitracin or neomycin in the area affected. Do not keep touching, picking or scratching it. You can take anti histamine at bed time to control the symptoms of allergy.
Take analgesic to get relieve from inflammation and pain. Your discomfort should reduce but you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxycillin or ciprofloxacin after getting clinically examined in the ER. Take care of your hygiene. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
