Suggest Treatment For Spinal Fracture After Falling Down

My son has fallen from a height of 40ft and has injuries in the right side of the pelvic girdle. I'm sending the latest MRI report for your ready reference, as we need your guidance and support to proceed further for proper treatment. We have been suffering a lot till date from the date(12.11.2010) of the incident.

MRI OF LUMBO SACRAL SPINE

Findings: there is normal alignment of whole length vertebral column with fairly maintained primary and secondary curvature and lumbarization of SI.

There are generalized minor marginal osteophytosis with developmental fusion of C2 and C3.

There is perineural cyst seen at D10-D11 level in the left and L5-S1 level on the right without consequences.

There is vertical fracture through the right side of the sacrum extending from the ala down to the sacro coccygeal junction which extends along the sacral exiting foramina.

The surrounding marrow edema without frank haematoma.

The SI joints are however normal.

The intervertebral discs at all lumbo sacral level are fairly well maintained in signal intensity and height.

No evidence of significant thacal sac or foraminal compression seen.

There is no erosion or destruction.

The whole length spinal cord and the conus are of normal signal intensity and thickness.

The bony lumbar canal dimension is within normal limits.

The cervical and the dorsal regions do not show significant abnormality.

Remarks: The MR imaging features reveal vertical fracture through the right side of sacrum extending from the ala down to the sacro coccygeal junction which extends along the sacral exiting foramina with involvement of the corresponding sacral nerve roots as described above. the thecal and exiting foramina are well capacious. The SI joints are normal.
