Suggest Treatment For Spine Pain Despite Taking Dilaudid

I have injected 8mg Dilaid x s like 4-6 a day for a lot of years (never having been prescribed them.) So 4 almost 5 weeks ago I sustained an injury and herniated my L5, S1 I believe. The doctor knows for sure, I had an MRI. I m being prescribed 4mg of Dilaid every 4-6 as needed. Problem is I have to take double that and my pain is still a 10 24/7!! What if anything gcan I do?

Hello,

The pain is caused by nerve compression induced by prolapsed disc.

As the common analgesics failed you can opt for a steroid injection to the spine which has got good results.
