Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a plastic stax splint on my middle finger since Friday and has just started slipping a starting to fall off. I ve tried retaping it but the tape won t keep it secure like my orthopedic doctor had it. How do I tape it so it stops slipping. Thank you
Usually the tape is slippery and hence does not fix that sound way to the plastic stax splint as it should be. In my clinic, I do recommend a bandage application over the same so that there is better alignment of the splint with the underlying tissue structures.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
