General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

In most of the individuals, the dark underarms are physiological variant and does not have any underlying causes. However certain skin conditions like acanthosis can also cause dark underarms.

It is a difficult condition to cure. Goof quality moisturizer creams and diet rich in fruits and vegetables can help a bit.

Newer techniques like LASER can provide better results. You can seek help from a cosmetic surgeon for expert evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
