Suggest Treatment For Spots On The Lower Back And Chest

i have some small spots on my lower back and chest, which i think is from too much beach time when i was young. My doctor has referred me to a dermatologist for a complete examination. I may have to be completely disrobed and would prefer not to have a female doctor. Can i request and get that? If not, can i go to a different (male) dermatologist on request? thanks, dv

Hello,

If the spots you mention is suspected to be from sun exposure in years it is important for you to have a visit with the dermatologist as the doctor has already recommended.
You should have the right to choose your doctor and choose a male doctor if you are not comfortable with a female doctor. On the other hand the doctor that will examine you will need to expose the areas of the lesions to have a good view of them so it is unavoidable that the doctor will ask you to expose those areas.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
