Suggest Treatment For Spotting After Having Tampon Removed
I had a lost tampon removed by my obgyn this morning. It was understandably foul. I am not due for my period for 2 weeks, but am now bleeding. I would say spotting, but it is more blood than spotting. The blood initially look and smelled foul (like the tampon), but now it appears fresh and smells the way my period blood normally smells (slightly metallic). Is this normal? I had a very poor experience with my doctor and he did not tell me what any of the consequences of the retrieval of the lost tampon might have.

Hi,
From history it seems that due to remaining tampon long time in vagina might have produced some infection in vaginal canal giving rise this problem.
Due to soreness there might be having bleeding.
Your Gynaec might have advised some oral antibiotic if she find it proper.
Keep local hygiene clean and dry.
Ok and take care.
