Suggest Treatment For Spotting Despite Taking Deviry
Hi doctor, my wife has a blood spot since 2 month, she has period on time and ends on time. But after period she has blood spot following month and she was given DEVIRY 10 mg tablet. but is not working. What could be the best cure? Any suggestion please!
Spotting that is lasting and is not responding to treatment needs investigations. First she needs to do a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If the pregnancy test comes out negative she will need a gynecological exam and with it depending on the risk factors and age she may need cervical swabs to rule out chlamydia and gonorrhea and a pap smear and she might also need a transvaginal ultrasound to check for pelvic masses and the uterine inner layer thickness to rule out problems with the uterus (endometrial thickness or masses).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
