Suggest Treatment For Spotting While On Birth Control Pills

Taking birth control. Went to northern MN, came home and period came early. Very regular and consistent taking my pill. My period is messed up and only spotted when I was "supposed" to have it. What do I do? Continue to take the pill? Or, wait until the real thing comes and hold off on pill?
