In early september I stepped off a tall stoop and seemed to incur a sprain. the nest day I sprained the other ankle. I treated with cold packs elevation foe two weeks. Then with no improvement in pain numbness and pins and needles with tenderness and spasms the Doc sent me for xrays, they were negative for any fracture, Did show a bitirate ? of 5th metacarpal head and enesopathy? of calcaneal bilaterally? Hello,

As you have this tingling and numbness in the feet most of the time we advise for TENS therapy for reducing pain and tingling sensation. Post which hot water fermentation is advised.

Doing simple slow active range of motion exercises should allow the muscles to have it's muscle property maintained.

Since it's osteoporosis you can have a word with a local physician for the calcium and vitamin D supplement.

You can even take calcium in the form of diet supplement and vitamin D as the sun bath. For osteopenia, you need to be on medicine to control the infection of the bone.

As most times the tingling and numbness are considered to be due to the nerve pathology anywhere in its course. Doesn't always mean that you need to have back pain.

But as your feet is troubling you, there will be changes in the gait mechanism and due to which there will be postural changes leading to a muscle spasm in the back providing compression over the nerve root and so does the symptoms.

So a correction of gait can help reduce the symptoms of the tingling and numbness.

It will be good if you take a CT scan of the foot and share a report as we can assist much better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
