Suggest Treatment For Sprained Ankles

I sprained my ankle a couple days ago when I did hip flexor stretch (splits) so apparently I either rotated my front feet in a wrong way and did over-stretch and then my feet went to sleep (foot drop) no pain just numb (sole of my foot from heel all the way through my ball of my foot) and big toe. I still feel the numb now, no pain or swelling. I ve been hard time to walk normal (limp) can somebody tell me whats going on? I am so scared.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to the sprained ankle. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication for the pain or numbness.

I also suggest avoiding activities that can trigger the symptoms. I also recommend doing an X-ray to exclude a fracture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
