Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Headache

I have been having sharp, stabbing pains in my head for almost 24 hours. It is mostly on the outer left ear, but travels around my head. I have also had a mild sore throat since Monday, a little coughing and sneezing. Bit the sharp pains are becoming unbearable. Thank you.

Hi,

That type of pain associated with sore throat could indicate a middle ear infection. It is connected to the throat by way of Eustachian tube so throat inflammation may be associated with middle ear infection.

I would suggest you see your primary physician or ENT specialist as if diagnosis is confirmed may need antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
