Suggest Treatment For Staph Infection In The Feet

My father recently acquired a staph infection in both feet. First with blisters and now with raw skin where skins has sloughed off. Been doing wound care daily. Has developed an area that is raw but now has a brown almost like wormy area around it. Not sure if this is just the normal process. He is a diabetic and know the healing process will be long but this one area I m not sure what it is.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello, I have gone through the details given about foot ulceration. I understand your concern. I have following suggestion to control that infection :
1)Since he is diabetic, blood glucose should be strictly controlled with fasting closer to 100 mg, PP 160 to 180 mg & HbA1c%2)It is better if he is on Insulin, as it will help in better control and aid rapid healing.
3)Wound debridement is necessary, all sloughed tissue should be completely removed. Regular daily dressing is needed.
4) It is necessary to consult a diabetologist as well as Podiatrist, because unhealed wounds can have very serious consequences.
5) A course of suitable antibiotics also is needed along with all the above mentioned care.
Do not neglect and just try to do routine dressing at home. Thanks.
