Suggest Treatment For Stiff Neck, Headache And Ringing Ears Post Head Injury

I hit my head yesterday slipping on the ice. I don t remember the impact or a few minutes after and developed and headache and ringing in my ears. I woke up this morning and my neck is extremely sore and stiff. It doesn t really hurt as much moving side to side but the up and down movement is painful. My headache is getting worse as time goes on and it seems like the ringing is getting louder too. Should I go to the emergency room?

Hello,

From the symptoms you are describing, it is advisable to visit an Emergency Room promptly. If it was just a usual impact, then the symptoms you are describing must be decreasing in intensity as time passes and not increase.

Increase of symptoms after injury to head as time passes requires immediate attention of an expert. You might have to go for x-ray, CT scan and MRI to reach a diagnosis and based on the diagnosis, the trauma can be managed.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
