Suggest Treatment For Stiffness Caused In The Feet Due To Fracture

I fractured the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th metatarsal on my right foot on 12/3/10. I continue to have major stiffness in that foot, and if I put pressure on the ball of my foot (just behind the big toe) I get a sharp pain in the 3-4th metatarsal. It's been a while since I've worn my boot (dr told me to take it off mid April). Is this commmon? And if so, how long will it last?
