Suggest Treatment For Stinging Sensation In Legs Radiating To Knees And Buttocks

My Sis in law has severe stinging in her legs, started back of legs to where the knee bends but now is above knees to where leg meets buttocks, She gets minimal relief by putting ice packs on her legs, Her dermatoligist has her uped medication of Gabapentin to 8 pills a day, she is to see her to get steroid back, which offers some relief. Dr. cannot give it a name nor total relief what could this be & what treatment would you suggest. Thank you, I ll be visiting her in Florida & she said any advice she d greatly appreciate.

I really appreciate your concern, such pain need to be ruled out for spine degenerative disease, and for that it is advisable to get done the MRI test, if this comes unremarkable then it could be fibromyalgia then it is better to continue the "Gabapentin" hope this information helps.
