Suggest Treatment For Stomach Bloating And Gastritis

I have had a bloated feeling in my stomach and upper part of my belly for the past week. This feeling does not go away and it gets slightly worse when I eat. Occasionally stomach bile comes up my throat and sometimes I burp up a large amount of gas. Also, I am constipated. I am drinking plenty of fluids, I have a very good mainly whole foods organic diet and I excercise regulairy. I am in overall very good health.

Hi

Your symptoms are suggestive of GERD also known as Gastroesophageal reflux disease.It occurs due to the reflux of acid contents of stomach back through esophagus or food pipe which is experienced as bad taste in mouth, abdominal bloating and gas.

Treatment incudes drugs that reduce acid secretion and reflux.These drugs mainly belong to proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers.These drugs have to be taken half an hour before food. Allow a gap of atleast an hour between night dinner and sleep.Five to ten days of drug course may be required.
