Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain, Gas And Bleeding During Defecation

I have had an aching stomach often for the last few months. Some nights it keeps me up all night. There has been a lot of gas, and now I am seeing mucus and blood spots when I try to defecate. Sometimes, nothing else comes out. I am not running any fever, but I am experiencing extreme fatigue. What might this be? I am 67 years old. I had a colonoscopy four years ago, and it was clean. Should I see a GI doctor or my regular physician?

I really appreciate your concern, intestinal infection is very likely and this can be managed with "Tab Metronidazole 400 mg " twice in day for 7days, if the symptoms persist then it may need some investigation, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
