Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain, Weakness And Vomiting

Hi My father has been very sick for the last 24 hours complaining of severe stomach pains and general weekness. He has gotten sick several times and jus half an hour go he fainted in the bathroom and vomitted again. Do you think is it anything more serious than a virus or should we take him to hospital ? Kind regards Anita

Hello,

Since your father is suffering from vomiting (many times), poor general health condition (getting sick several times), has stomach pain and fainted in the bathroom, you are suggested to get him admitted in a hospital so that he can get medical care and support at the earliest. Vomiting associated with fainting may be indicative of dehydration, low BP, IBS, GERD, hypoglycemia, syncope, MI, any developing CAD, stroke, etc.

This is not the time to keep him at home. He needs intravenous fluids and urgent medical aid. To ease stomach pain you can give him antacids. Give him anti emetics, one, SOS to stop vomiting. Give him liquid diet or semi solid diet like oat, porridge, custard, khichri, etc. Keep him well hydrated and well nourished. He will be recommended to go through certain blood tests, urinalysis, imaging tests to detect the pathology causing him discomfort. He will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
