Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am sick at my stomach every day. Usually starts mid-morning and I am sick the rest of the day. I sip on 7-up all day. Please help me. I am so tired of being sick and laying in bed the rest of the day. Sincerely, Debra Myers
Stomach upset on a daily basis that too for whole the day is possibly gastroenteritis/ stomach flu. Stomach pain along with nausea, vomiting, fever all are possible symptoms.
Treatment for this is right choice of food. Avoid carbonated drinks from your diet as they will absorb acids. Have plenty of water. Avoid food like rice, breads. Do not go to bed immediately after food. At least 1-2 hr gap should be there. Medications such as Tylenol, Loperamide is very helpful.
Ginger, Peppermint, brat all are very effective for stomach upset.
If your symptoms still keeps on persisting and exaggerating i would suggest you to go to gastroenterologist.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
