Suggest Treatment For Stomachache, Cramping, Nausea And Bloating

I m having stomach pain, cramping, nausa. I woke up with this today. I felt tired yesterday but accomplished what I needed to and felt bloated. I typically have problems with constipation and bloating. I had my gall bladder removed over 5 years ago. I suffer from migranes and take quite a bit of motrin. The only thing I have done differently the last few days is have 4 alcoloholic shots on Saturday night and I don t typically drink. But I was not hung over probably because I drank lots of water during the evening.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of having alcohol on Saturday, must have eaten outside food, developed Stomach pain, nausea, have constipation and bloating problem, gallbladder removed 5 years ago.
The commonest cause I can think about are as follows:
Gastroenteritis.
GI disturbance increased due to other factors in recent times added on with bloating and constipation.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Take a PPI and Domperidone for symptomatic relief, also take an antispasmodic.
Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation .
Send the samples of stool and blood.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
All these will lead to a diagnosis and will be managed as per the findings.
May need antibiotics and probiotics if there is any evidence of infection.
Once you come out of the recent problems concentrate on the old problems of constipation and bloating, get investigated, adjust your diet stopping the things that instigate or enhance the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
