Suggest Treatment For Stones In Salivary Glands With Pain In Ear
My doctor just told me I have a stone in my salivtory gland and told me to suck on sour candy. He put me on anti-inflammatories. The swelling has gone down some but started to be real painful. Shooting pains in my ear and is very tender to the touch. Is there another option beside candy? Im sick of it!!
Hi, Let me first tell you about salivary gland stones, it is caused due to stasis of secretions, once it is formed it will hinder drainage of gland, in case of small stones patient's are advised to consume sore food items since it increases salivary secretions and there by flushing out the stone, in case of large stones the obstruction will be complete and whatever secretions are formed won't be able to escape, which causes swelling and pain, this pain can radiate to ear. My suggestion for you, is to get back to your doctor and explain that your problems have worsened. Take care.
