Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Strep throat not responding to antibiotics after nearly two months? I was diagnosed with strep B infection throat, right after Christmas 2015. I was put on antibiotics, it went away for about two weeks and then came back with a vengeance. In January 2016 I was put on antibiotics again, and it is now the middle of February and it is back yet again. My tonsils(especially the left) are extremely swollen and painful, I am getting tonsil stones, and I see red spots in the back of my throat. I feel if I go back my Dr. will just put me on antibiotics and it will be the same thing all over again. What can I do to get rid of this?
