Suggest Treatment For Stuck Throat And Chest

Had eaten some nachos last Saturday. Had a feeling that the chips got stuck in my throat. Drank plenty of water but still felt if something is still stuck in my throat and chest. Now have some pain but I can still eat and swallow food even with the discomfort.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chips struck in throat which seems to be act as foreign body there and leads to accumulation of bacteria and microorganisms and spread infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline rinses several times a day. Take ibuprofen and proper course of antibiotics. Avoid hot sharp and spicy food substances. Consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may opt fiber optic scan examination done to find out exact location of obstruction and start treatment accordingly. Minor surgical procedure ca be performed to remove that chips piece if that is causing any blockage.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
